The Veitablu Story Situated in rural Kalbar Qld Health Sense-sations Pty Ltd began its operation in July 2002. Founder Jennifer Beadnell, a chef, started the company from humble beginnings. She gave up her career to become a full time carer when she adopted an intellectually handicapped man named George, who resided in a bus shelter in Brisbane (see Hats to George). During this time being dissatisfied with the quality of so called "health bars" that were available on the market she began experimenting and came up with a range of sesame bars. From this time to 2007 the business grew in small stages. During these years the brand "Veitablu" was born, packaging improved and the product range broadened. She expanded her premises and updated her equipment. In 2008 they became HACCP Accreditated and developed and launched 2 new product ranges that cater and comply with: i) the children's market and school tuckshops and ii) New legislation in Government Health departments. In 2009 Health Sense-sations moved to a new larger premise which was designed specifically to suit their needs with the focus on room to grow. This has also provided them an opportunity to incorporate a retail outlet. “We are aware that people are becoming more sensitive to allergens and are more conscious of what they put into their bodies,” says Jennifer. "We are committed to producing high quality, great tasting products using only natural ingredients." As well as producing the Veitablu range Health Sense-sations specialises in Vegetarian/Vegan, and Special needs catering. They also do contract manufacturing for smaller companies looking to develop healthful products. Our aim is to continually develop new products and for people to associate “Veitablu” as a brand that they can trust and enjoy. |
